Who We Are
Bright Futures Academy is a private Christian primary and junior secondary school in Kenya, serving children from age 3 ("Playgroup") through Grade 9. Built on the Kenya national curriculum, the school combines strong academics with faith-based mentorship—helping students grow intellectually, spiritually, and personally.
What makes Bright Futures Academy unique is its reach. Students come not only from the surrounding community, but also from Gentle Shepherd Children’s Home, creating a shared learning environment where children from different backgrounds grow together with dignity, unity, and purpose.
God is Growing Us!
Bright Futures Academy opened its doors in January 2025 with 230 students as a shared endeavor with Gentle Shepherd Home via International Living Streams Ministry. Just one year later, enrollment has grown to 308 students—and continues to rise.
BFA has the capacity to serve up to 540 students...and we can't wait to see what God has in store for us beyond that. Most High Schools in Kenya are boarding schools, but we envision an opportunity for secondary education without leaving home for our kids.
WHY YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS
Behind every classroom is a teacher who shows up each day to educate, mentor, and care for their students. We are competing with government teaching positions that pay well, but our teachers and support staff know we have something special at BFA, so we're working hard to reward them accordingly and reduce turn-over.
